Dynamic Duos Lead Holiday Issue of Blueshirt Bulletin

154-06-09-10The holiday issue of Blueshirt Bulletin is out, and the memorable cover by art director John Coutinho, which can be seen atop the sidebar over on the left, will not be available much longer due to the limited press run. A subscription to Blueshirt Bulletin would make a great gift for the diehard fan who needs to keep up with all things Ranger -- we can send you a copy of this issue to present as a gift, or we can send it directly to the recipient with a gift note from you. Either way, the subscription would come with access to Blueshirt Bulletin+ online, where we present premium content for subscribers only, including post-game articles and analysis, a daily compilation of media links, and a fan discussion forum. Click here for complete information on how to subscribe.

This month's print edition of Blueshirt Bulletin is centered around pairs of players. Sam Weinman of the Journal News and Rangers Report has an article on Brandon Dubinsky that includes how he came to befriend Nikolai Zherdev, who is the subject of a companion piece by Steve Zipay of Newsday and Blue Notes. The defensive duo of Marc Staal and Paul Mara is the subject of a report by Andrew Gross of the Record and Ranger Rants, while the newcomers on defense, Wade Redden and Dmitri Kalinin, reveal personal details in Scoop Malinowski's Biofiles, with the normally reticent Redden particularly revealing in his. Joe McDonald of NY Sports Day and NY Sportscene has some inside info on the Rangers' goaltending tandem, Henrik Lundqvist and Steve Valiquette.

That's hardly all -- Sam discusses the Rangers' personality makeover, we have an analysis of the power play as well as extensive news and notes, and John Halligan checks in with his monthly All Around the Rink With the Rangers column. But what would Blueshirt Bulletin be without our unparalleled prospect coverage? Jess Rubenstein has an interview with 2008 draftee Derek Stepan, now with the University of Wisconsin. Bruce Berlet has an article on Hartford defensemen Corey Potter and Ethan Graham, who were a tandem at Michigan State in their college days, as well as his usual compendium of Wolf Pack news and notes. And Mitch Beck gets the skinny on every Charlotte player from Checkers GM-coach Derek Wilkinson.

Blueshirt Bulletin would be an excellent gift to give to yourself too, especially if you have come to rely on this web site as a source of daily links, daily updates, and reader commentary, all of which now regularly appear exclusively at Blueshirt Bulletin+ -- click here to read today's media links, which center on Petr Prucha, at BB+ if you subscribe to Blueshirt Bulletin and have registered for BB+ access.
