Rangers vs. Islanders
7:00pm, Madison
Square Garden
Rangers Record: 31-32-9
Senators Record: 29-33-10
Well here it is; with only two games against the rival
Islanders remaining we find ourselves 2 points behind the Isles and 4 behind
the Devils in this tight race to the finish. Desperation must kick in as they
can not afford to let this years Metro Ice Challenge slip away……
Sorry for the sarcasm, but after Boston
took it to Atlanta
last night the Rangers playoff hopes seem to be dashed. While the team will
still fight till the end I can’t help but laugh when they say they are going to
bounce back and put a few wins together. It is so clear this team does not work and a winning streak to end this season is as realistic as my golden toilet.
I am not going to try and put my finger on why or who; but
hopefully a year without playoff revenue will wake this organization up.
Tonight the Rangers must be cautious of this young team as
Tavares is rolling with 7 points in his last two games and while they are not
the prettiest team they work hard along the boards. As we know working the
boards hard against the Rangers usually ends in frustration as the Islanders
got to show them that in 3 of the 4 matchups this season.
So with only two home games remaining I encourage you to
come out and root this team on; or let them have it…that is up to you!
If you don’t have tickets to the game you could catch tonight’s
action in 3-D at The Theatre at Madison
Square Garden.
Watching this team has been painful enough for me in two dimensions, but add a
third and my head might explode.
Callahan is a game time decision.
Avery looks like he will be in the lineup.
