Michael St. Croix is now the seventh-leading scorer in the WHL

Every Friday, we’ll update you on how each of the New York Rangers’ prospects playing in Canadian junior leagues, college and overseas performed over the previous week

Andrew Yogan (OHL)

This week: 3gp, 1g, 2a, 3pts, +2, 0PIM

This season: 31gp, 14g, 15a, 29pts, +6, 41PIM

Yogan left last Friday’s contest with headaches and a stiff neck, but he played two more games this week and appears to be OK.  Yogan had a goal and an assist last night to help Peterborough snap an eight-game win-less streak.

Chris Kreider (NCAA)

This week: 1gp, 0g, 1a, 1pt, 0PIM

This season: 18gp, 12g, 11a, 23pts, 32PIM

Christian Thomas (OHL)

This week: 1gp, 2g, 1a, 3pts, -1, 0PIM

This season: 21gp, 13g, 14a, 27pts, -3, 6PIM

During his current seven-game point-scoring streak Thomas has amassed eight goals and nine assists.  He has five goals and seven assists in his last three games.  Thomas was cut from Canada’s World Junior team earlier this week, though.

Dylan McIlrath (WHL)

This week: 2gp, 0g, 1a, 1pt, 0-rating, 5PIM

This season: 21gp, 2g, 8a, 10pts, +2, 54PIM

This week: 1gp, 0g, 0a, 0pts, 0-rating, 0PIM

This season: 21gp, 5g, 11a, 16pts, +9, 4PIM

Fasth remains out with a fractured foot.

J.T. Miller (OHL)

This week: 2gp, 2g, 1a, 3pts, +1, 0PIM

This season: 31gp, 13g, 26a, 39pts, +6, 20PIM

Miller has two goals and five assists in his last three games.

Michael St. Croix (WHL)

This week: 2gp, 2g, 5a, 7pts, +5, 0PIM

This season: 33gp, 18g, 32a, 50pts, +16, 23PIM

St. Croix is in the middle of a torrid stretch with 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in his last 10 games.  St. Croix is also plus-18 over that period.  He is now seventh in the WHL in scoring and has been instrumental in helping the Oil Kings win 10 consecutive games.  After a slow start, St. Croix has 48 points (17 goals, 31 assists) in his last 26 games.  Jess Rubenstein thinks that should be more than enough to earn St. Croix a contract.

Mikhail Pashnin (KHL)

This week: 2gp, 0g, 0a, 0pts, +1, 2PIM

This season: 29gp, 2g, 2a, 4pts, +3, 30PIM
