The Bulletin Board keeps you abreast of the latest news
around the NHL Monday-Friday.
- Evgeni Malkin notched three assists to help Pittsburgh snap
Chicago’s five-game winning streak. In
six games since Sidney Crosby left the Penguins’ lineup, Malkin has 15
points. He was 20th on the NHL scoring
list as recently as seven
days ago, but Malkin is now in a four-way tie for first with Claude Giroux,
Phil Kessel and Henrik Sedin.
- Alex Ovechkin, Alex Semin and Nicklas Backstrom all scored
in the same game for Washington for the first time since October 30,
2010. The Capitals’ 4-1 victory
snapped Nashville’s five game winning streak.
- Erik Condra scored twice to guide Ottawa by Buffalo
4-1. Kyle Turris picked up an assist in
his Senators’ debut and Ottawa moved into playoff position.
- Jarome Iginla tallied a goal and an assist to send Minnesota
to its fifth straight loss. The Wild
remains just a point out of first place in the Western Conference, though.
- Why are the Kings struggling? Los Angeles has scored two or fewer goals in 12
straight games.
- Ottawa forward Jesse Winchester is out with
a concussion.
- There are six games on the schedule
tonight. Philadelphia @ Dallas will
be on Versus at 7:30 p.m. Giroux could
return to the Flyers’ lineup.
- And of course, don’t forget to watch “24/7” on HBO at 10:00
p.m.
