UPDATE:Check out the full audio of today's conference call with GM Glen Sather and Rick Nash.
The New York Rangers completed their long pursuit today of offensive All-Star Rick Nash from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forwards Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, defensive prospect Tim Erixon, and a first round pick in 2013.
Nash, a first round pick of Columbus and the face of the franchise for his nine NHL seasons, had fallen out of favor with Columbus' management admidst an ugly impending divorce that began at the 2011 - 12 NHL trade deadline.
In 674 NHL games, Nash, 28, has scored 289 goals and 258 assists for 547 points.
Dubinsky, 26, and Anisimov, 24, were both home grown Rangers who struggled with consistent offensive output, but were fan favorites and still held significant potential.
Erixon, acquired last season from Calgary, spent his first season with the Rangers predominantly at the AHL level with the Connecticut Whale.
