According to multiple beat reports, forward Vinny Prospal will be out 2 - 3 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery. in 38 games this season, Prospal is +2 with eight goals and 24 assists for 32 points. 

Playing on the first line, Prospal has had terrific chemistry with right winger Marian Gaborik despite shifting often between center and left wing. Recently, the return of Brandon Dubinsky has given the line a renewed energy and also began settling the other line combinations.

It's possible that the Rangers could summon some help from Hartford, possibly in the form of P.A. Parenteau. Sean Avery or Chris Higgins may jump up to the first line spot in place of Prospal.
