We have all been waiting with baited breath for the potential acquisition of Columbus Blue Jackets forward Rick Nash or Anaheim Ducks winger Bobby Ryan.

But, what if the New York Rangers simply stand pat with their current lineup?

Having come so close to the Stanley Cup Finals the Rangers are not in need of a major overhaul. The two primary concerns were scoring and the power play. However, let's look at the numbers against the Cup Champion L.A. Kings:

11th in Scoring: The Rangers were 11th in the NHL in Goals For per Game and Total Goals. Ironically, the Cup Champions were 29th.
